Build & Burn is the second full length release from Philadelphia?s, The Loved Ones. The album was produced by Pete Steinkopf and Bryan Keinlen from the Bouncing Souls and features cameos from the Hold Steady?s Franz Nicolay (piano, Hammond B3 organ, harmonica, accordion, saw) and Tad Kubler (guitar). The new record hints at Americana rock n? roll with expanded instrumentation, plenty of backing vocals and a thematic concept based on the album title. The first song from the record, “Pretty Good Year”, which was featured on our online Hanuk-Comp winter sampler , has been the most positively received and commented on song of the player. We just posted the next song from the record called “Sarah’s Game” in our mp3 section. The band is going to be filming a video soon but for now you can hear exclusive acoustic versions of two brand new songs (“The Bridge” & “Brittle Heart”) from the record right here. The band recently posted their 4th and 5th studio videos so go check them out. We should be putting the record up for pre-order on Monday, Jan. 28th and we’ll have some limited autographed CD’s for the people who order directly from our webstore. The band has an East Coast tour booked for the month of February and we’ll have details about the West Coast leg soon!
